Description
Northwest Regional Airport Terrace–Kitimat (YXT) invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the construction of New Taxiway Property Development at the airport.

The project involves the construction of a new taxiway and associated airside infrastructure, including but not limited to:
  • Site preparation, removals, and earthworks
  • Taxiway construction, grading, and pavement structure
  • Drainage works, including drywells and culverts
  • Airside electrical coordination (referenced drawings)
  • Pavement markings and signage
  • Fencing and associated site works Construction will take place within an active airside environment, requiring strict adherence to operational constraints, safety protocols, and coordination with airport operations. Temporary operational measures, including runway restrictions and displaced thresholds, will be implemented during construction to maintain safe aircraft operations.

    The successful contractor will be responsible for completing all work in accordance with the issued drawings, specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
