Description
The UBC Okanagan Recreation Facility is a student-initiated, community-oriented project designed to address the growing need for indoor recreation space on campus and in the region. Supported through a successful 2023 student referendum, the project will deliver a high-quality, purpose-built facility that enhances student experience, promotes health and wellness, and supports community engagement and partnerships.

The facility will provide approximately 3,448 m² (37,114 ft²) of new recreation space, including a three-court gymnasium for intramural sports, varsity training, events, and casual use; two adaptable group fitness studios; and inclusive changeroom and support spaces.

The facility is intended to serve both the UBC Okanagan campus population and the broader Okanagan community.

Submissions deadline is May 15th, 2026, at 5pm PST.
