Description
City of Delta invites bids for drainage and irrigation improvements at North Delta Community Park – Softball Diamond 3, located at 11311 84 Avenue, Delta, BC.
The work (the “Work”) generally consists of the supply and installation of new drainage system, cap and abandon existing drainage system, replacement of existing lawn basins, replacement of existing infield material, relocation of existing rotors and replacement of existing irrigation controller.
The Bidder should be aware that the Fortis Right-of-Way is immediately north of the site (Softball Diamond 3) and area allowed for material/equipment storage and staging is limited. See tender drawings in Appendix B for detail. The northern area of the parking lot is currently occupied for construction, material storage/staging in the parking lot will not be allowed. Parking lot area immediately adjacent to the existing concrete ramp with removal bollards shall remain accessible at all times during construction.
It is envisioned that construction to start on or shortly after July 17, 2023 to accommodate the 2023 provincial tournament at the North Delta Community Park and the project shall be substantially completed by September 15, 2023.
Except to the extent they are modified by supplemental specifications, the specifications for the Work, including the Standard Detail Drawings, are those found in the latest edition of MMCD. Those are the only portions of the MMCD that apply to this project. The Invitation to Tender document and process, and the contract the City enters into with the successful Bidder, are in the form attached to this Invitation to Tender. The MMCD Instructions to Tenderers and General Conditions do not apply.
