The Board invites Proposals from fully qualified food service contractors with the necessary qualifications, expertise, capability, and resources for the provision of services to provide all labour, materials, food, equipment, supervision, and the means of work to manage and run Food Service Operations in five (5) Secondary Schools in the School District between the months of September to June each school year. The term of the Contract will be for three (3) years. Pricing will be in-line with the local marketplace. The Contract may be extended for a further two terms of one (1) year each, subject to the mutual written agreement of both parties on price and service.
A non-mandatory site meeting will be held to allow all interested Proponents to view all five (5) secondary cafeteria sites. The site meeting will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023. We will gather at: Heritage Woods Secondary school entrance at 10:00 am PST and visit each cafeteria site in the order listed below until we are done. Proponents should expect the visit to be at least 3-4 hours in duration.

- For Proponents that wish to attend the site meeting, it is a mandatory requirement to RSVP by emailing: Purchasing@sd43.bc.ca by Wednesday May 3, 2023, 12:00 pm PST. In the email, Proponents must indicate how many site locations they would like to attend the meeting. If none of the Proponents RVSP, the Non-Mandatory Site Meeting will be canceled.
- Proponents that wish to attend the site meeting are to wait at the front school entrance for each site until the Board’s Representative arrives to escort them into the various locations. Under no circumstance is a Proponent to enter any school property other than during the Site Meeting locations.
- The purpose of the meeting is for Proponents to view the layout of the cafeteria and the seating arrangement for each of the five (5) secondary schools.
- As the Cafeteria kitchens will be in operation during each site visit, there will be limited access and viewing.
