23-27-VWRC– Bauer Hose Reel Packages

NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by the Corporation of the City of Vernon (“the City”) of its intent to award a contract to Mountain View Electric Ltd. to provide to provide supply of six (6) new Bauer Model T-42 Hose Reel Packages for bulk irrigation in support of the City’s Spray Irrigation Program.
The proposed purchase will commence in March 2023. The proposed purchase order will have a value of $240,000 (inclusive of freight and exclusive of applicable taxes) for the period.
The City did not call for Vendor proposals for the following reasons:
The City has previously standardized to Bauer Reel Packages and achieves component interchangeability and other efficiencies by remaining within that product group. Mountain View Electric Ltd is a Bauer Distributor located in Enderby, British Columbia. The physical proximity of this authorized distributor allows for timely, cost effective servicing, support and repair.
OBJECTIONS
Companies wishing to object to this decision should submit in writing (by email to csheel@vernon.ca) the reasons for their objection to the Contact Person listed below, on or before the Closing Date. Objections that provide service details and can clearly demonstrate the Vendor’s ability to provide the product and service at a competitive rate and received by this date will be given due consideration for existing or future requirements.
Vendor ability to offer services resulting in the same or better solutions at a lower cost in the same time frame will be the key criteria with regard to the consideration of companies objections. City of Vernon decisions in this regard will be final.
