Description
Notice of Intent
“Fit-up” work required for Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower (JPACT)
for the B116-00 RCH Redevelopment Project
Document Number: 014NOI26CW
Fraser Health (FH) intends to extend the contract to CDC Construction Ltd. to continue the Fit-Up work for the RCH Redevelopment Project.
The additional contract value is up to approximately $100,000 with $200,000 near completion for the maximum contract value of up to approximately $300,000, plus tax. FH has chosen not to complete an additional competitive process but intends to extend the contract to CDC Construction Ltd. for the following reasons:
CDC Construction Ltd. completed the “fit-up” work required to prepare JPACT for the first patient day, and is actively working on the additional requests. CDC Construction Ltd. is well immersed in and has availability to continue the work for the upcoming second opening of JPACT and the additional associated requests work post occupancy. CDC Construction Ltd. holds a strong local knowledge of the project and the RCH site, understanding the needs and requirements of the project team, and operational departments/users for the fit-up requirements. Retaining their involvement under the current contract scope will help ensure continuity and consistent workmanship. CDC Construction Ltd. has many years of experience in acute healthcare environments and can start work immediately. CDC Construction Ltd. is a prequalified firm with the Health Authority: Pre-Qualified General Contractors and Construction Management Companies for both Acute Care Projects and Non-Acute Care Project greater than $5 million.
General Contractors may challenge this decision by sending an email to Carolyn Wiens carolyn.wiens@fraserhealth.ca by June 26, 2026 – 15:00 hours local time.
