Description
The Village of Pemberton is seeking quotations from qualified contractors for the design, supply, and installation of a floating boardwalk system at One Mile Lake Park.
The project consists of the design, supply, and installation of a floating boardwalk system within the One Mile Lake trail network, as identified in Appendix A.
The Work is divided into the following components:
• Base Scope (Mandatory): Section 1 – approximately 300 m of floating boardwalk.
• Optional Scope: Section 2 – approximately 280 m of floating boardwalk, including a floating bridge crossing over the fish channel.
The existing damaged boardwalk structures will be removed by the Village under a separate contract prior to commencement of the Work.
Proponents shall provide pricing for the Base Scope and may provide pricing for the Optional Scope. The Village reserves the right to award the Base Scope only or both the Base Scope and Optional Scope depending on available funding and project priorities.
The Village's preferred solution is a floating boardwalk system utilizing marine-grade aluminum framing, rotomolded HDPE flotation units, and cedar decking or approved equivalent. Proponents shall be responsible for the detailed design, structural configuration, anchoring system, floating bridge design, and installation methodology necessary to meet the performance requirements of this RFP.
The completed system shall provide a durable, resilient, and accessible public recreation facility suitable for pedestrians, cyclists, strollers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices under varying water levels and seasonal conditions.
Please direct inquiries to Jeff Milliken ( jmilliken@pemberton.ca ) prior to July 5, 2026.
Quotations must be submitted by email in PDF format to jmilliken@pemberton.ca no later than 2pm July 10, 2026.
