Description
Northern Health (NH) is requesting Expressions of Interest (RFEI) from qualified organizations able to provide transportation services for the Northern Emergency Response Team (NERT) Program. This is a team of critical care-trained Registered Nurses working out of the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC). They work supernumerary at UHNBC while awaiting and being readily available for ground ambulance transfers alongside BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).
Additionally, the Contractor will also provide low-acuity transportation services for patients requiring discharge from UHNBC, as directed by the Patient Transfer and Flow Office (PTFO).
Definition: Low-Acuity Patient
Someone with minor, non-urgent medical condition that is physiologically stable and requires minimal medical intervention (ex. Ankle sprain).
Additionally, the Contractor will also provide low-acuity transportation services for patients requiring discharge from UHNBC, as directed by the Patient Transfer and Flow Office (PTFO).
