High Performance Lagoon (HPL) Upgrades - Phase 2

The Village of Cumberland invites Tenders for HPL Upgrades - Phase 2 project. The work will
include the following:

1. Maple Lake Creek relocation – mobilization, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, erosion
and sediment control, environmental planting and restoration, demobilization
2. (Optional Item): Treated Effluent Discharge, Flow Control Structure and Reed Bed Final
Treatment Facility – The work includes the supply and installation of all HDPE pipe and
manholes, precast concrete flow control structure with slide gates and cast-in-place
concrete divider wall, engineered reed bed pond construction, complete with biochar
filtering bed, under drain collection system, discharge piping and final outfall.
3. (Optional Item): Interim Discharge Removal & Discharge Box Decommissioning –
removal and disinfection of HDPE overland pipe, sealing existing concrete weir manhole
with concrete.
4. (Optional Item): Creek Backfill and Lagoon Buttress – clearing and grubbing, earthworks,
berm construction with road, erosion and sediment control, restoration
5. (Optional Item): Supply and Installation of the Extreme Wet Weather Flow (EWWF) Pond
complete with chlorination and dechlorination systems. Work includes excavation, pipe
installation, HDPE lined pond with baffle curtains, discharge manhole, chlorination and
de-chlorination systems and piping, discharge channel and armouring.
6. (Optional Item): Mobilization and demobilization for optional works awarded as extension
to contract.
