Description
Sealed tenders in separate envelopes marked Tender for Kitimat Spray Park and Playground Revitalization - Contract No. 473” will be received at the District of Kitimat offices, located at 270 City Centre, Kitimat, B.C., V8C 2H7, no later than 2:30 p.m. local time on July 24th, 2026 and will be opened in public at that time.

The works to be constructed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Removal and disposal of existing playground, planting bed, trees, picnic table and concrete pads, walkway, brick pavers, benches, and bollards. Construct a 426m2 spray park concrete splash pad. Installation of Owner supplied spray park features. Construct a 227m2 playground rubberized surface with perimeter concrete curb. Supply and installation of playground features. Supply and installation of precast washroom. Water, storm, and sanitary utility services for spray park and washroom. Power supply from Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre to spray park control kiosk and activator posts, storm drain manhole with actuated diverter valve, and washroom. Construct 139m2 concrete slabs for provisional shelter, washroom service door, and picnic tables. Construct 243m2 of concrete walkways. Restore grading to disturbed landscaping areas.
    Optional Site Visit:  Tuesday, July 7th, 2026 at 11:00am at Lion’s Park, Kitimat, B.C.

    Tenders must be accompanied by a Certified Cheque or Bid Bond valid for a period of 60 days in the amount of 10% of the tendered price as bid security. The District of Kitimat reserves the right to reject all tenders or to award the Contract to other than the lowest tender received if it perceives that to be in its best interests.
