Description
(a) This fuel treatment area or 9.0 hectares is intended to provide a fuel break in the wooded area near GUN RANGE ROAD in Houston BC. The intent is not to completely stop a fire, rather it is to decrease its intensity and reduce spotting potential. In doing so, it will also provide greater suppression opportunities for wildfire crews (i.e. direct attack firefighting, establishment of sprinkler lines, burn-out/burn off operations).
(b) The contract must complete all tree thinning, ladder fuel management, and surface fuel cleanup as indicated within this contract.
