Buildmapper Ltd. For Construction Permit Data
Issued June 12, 2023
WorkSafeBC is currently using BuildMapper to collect building permit data. This data is used for planned jobsite inspections and response inspections. WorkSafeBC is also using this data in other planned future projects in varying stages of development.
Construction sites are transient by nature and difficult to locate. A tool such as BuildMapper assists WorkSafeBC in locating these workplaces to provide the core services of our prevention department (consulting, educating and enforcing Occupational Health and Safety). Knowing where these workplaces are allows WorkSafeBC prevention officers to efficiently engage with them.
