BC LABOUR MARKET OUTLOOK: DEVELOPMENT AND UPDATE OF FORECASTS

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for the development and production of a 10-year forecast of labour demand and supply in British Columbia (B.C.). 

The annual 10-year labour market forecast of demand and supply will entail developing the following customized forecasts:Customized 10-year macroeconomic forecast and industry sector GDP and employment forecast for B.C. and seven Economic Development regions. Customized 10-year forecast of employment encompassing the industries identified in Appendix C (or an equivalent industry grouping) for B.C. and the seven regions. The industries detailed in Appendix C consist of either individual or aggregated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 2022 codes. Customized 10-year forecast of employment and job openings (with a breakdown of replacement and expansion job openings) for all National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 occupations at the five-digit level by each industry identified in Appendix C in the main document for B.C. and the seven regions. Customized 10-year forecast of labour demand, labour supply, and supply compositions for all NOC 2021 occupations at the five-digit level for B.C. Customized scenario analysis. Provision of up to three custom forecasts based on alternative assumptions provided by the Ministry.The initial contract is expected to be a 12 month term with a maximum budget of $125,000.
