    Description
    PURPOSE  
    Acting as the Construction Manager for the owner, Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation (MVHC), Scott Construction Ltd. (Scott Construction) (SCL) invites Subcontractors to submit a proposal for design-assist services from prefabricated wood-frame manufacturers for the MVHC project at Old Dollarton & Riverside, North Vancouver.   The services are described in the Scope of Work section of this RFP.   Scott intends to enter into a preconstruction agreement with one proponent. 

    BACKGROUND
    The project is to be a 6-storey wood frame construction building over a single level of underground parking garage. The number of dwelling units are estimated to be 78 - 90 units with a approximately 50% of the dwelling units provided as family units (2bdrm and 3-bdrm) and 11% of the dwelling units provided as accessible units.   The project has been identified as an implementation pilot (partial) to support the Digitally Accelerated Standardized Housing (DASH) submission for CMHC’s Housing Supply Challenge.  The construction team is expected to support the project during design and construction in implementation of key aspects such as: comprehensive BIM modelling, support for prefabrication configurator, utilizing pre-fabricated components.   Further information on DASH can be found at www.acceleratedhousing.ca
