    Description
    The City of Prince Rupert is seeking quotations from qualified respondents in
    response to this request for quotations for the provision of Services to be
    carried out within the required schedule set out herein for undertaking site preparation work on the
    proposed leachate treatment improvements at the Prince Rupert Landfill in Prince Rupert.

    The area scope is defined below:

    The City of Prince Rupert is looking to engage a contractor to complete the necessary site preparations
    prior to the supply and installation of a new treatment facility at the PRL. The PRL requires leachate
    treatment improvements to meet year-round compliance with the PRL’s provincial permit and federal
    regulations. This phase of the project involves grading the site and pouring a concrete slab with piping.
    The installation of the new treatment facility is outside the scope of this assignment.
    This RFQ is seeking quotes to provide work for the PRL to conform with the detailed designs, and as
    summarized below.

    Scope of Services
    The services will comprise due diligence work for the Project including, without limiting:
    Work as per McElhanney Drawing Set “Landfill Leachate Treatment Improvements”. This includes, but is
    not limited to:
    (i) Site Layout and Grading – Including clearing, grubbing, stripping, common excavation and fill, and granular gravel base. Contingent works for rock excavation.
    (ii) Site Drainage – Including installation of ditches and culverts to facilitate adequate drainage.
    (iii) Concrete Slab – Including base preparation and installation of piping.

    The successful proponent will:
    -Work closely with the Project’s detailed design team to inform their work on limitations, design requirements, and siting considerations.
    -May be required to participate in project management meetings as required to support coordination of works and input.
    -Coordinate works to minimize costs to the City and its partners.
