    Mandatory Site Visit

    Bidders must attend a site visit on the specified date and time below:
    Date: 22 June, 2022
    Time: 11:00 a.m. PST
    Location of Site Meeting: Douglas Manor - 7530 Rosewood St, Burnaby
     by the main entrance

    Subcontractor Attendance is Optional.

    Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above.

    A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

    All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the ITT Contact person prior to the date and time as per section 3.2 Timetable.

    Representatives of your firm attending a site visit must provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

    Brief Description of Work
    The work includes Elevator Modernization and as further set out at Appendices:
    1. Appendix E – Specifications and Drawings

    The elevator modernization includes, but is not limited to:
    • Controller, electronic soft starter, and levelling system;
    • Battery rescue unit;
    • Pump unit, tank, muffler, isolation coupling, control valve, vibration isolation, and hydraulic suppression;
    • Plunger/cylinder assembly with PVC encapsulation, hydraulic piping, new pipe rupture valve;
    • New pipe rupture valve, hydraulic suppression;
    • Door operator, door detector, and hall door equipment;
    • Operating fixtures;
    • Machine room and hoistway wiring, travelling cables;
    • Cab interior upgrades;
    • Future provisions for Firefighters’ Emergency Operation;
    • CSA B44-16 Compliance;
    • One (1) year Warranty maintenance.

    Douglas Manor is a three-storey residential building occupied by seniors, and there is only one elevator in the building. Therefore, earlier completion of the project is critical.
