Description
Notice is hereby given that the Province of British Columbia, as represented by the Ministry of Attorney General is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Elaine Alec. The services delivery is expected to be May 16th, 2023. The aggregate value of the contract is expected not to exceed, exclusive of applicable taxes $10,000.00

The high-level details of the contemplated contract are generally described below.
- Contractor will provide indigenous facilitator services during a May 16th, 2023 session which will focus on Cultivating safe workplace. Contractor will use transformative storytelling to provide tools and resources to create change in behaviour and eliminate ill-conceived perceptions. The facilitator will guide employees through conflict, trauma, grief and disconnect, using a whole system healing approach as a way to cultivate the health and wellbeing of organizations through its individuals.
- The session will aim to help people struggling to understand what decolonizing and reconciliation looks like in practice go from insecure and overwhelmed to being focused and empowered so they are able communicate and contribute effectively to transforming systems.
- Services include, but are not limited to; team building, conflict resolution skills, a decolonized approach to agenda and meeting development, provide Self-awareness and emotional intelligence exercises, perspective work to support effective teamwork, group work to incorporate tools into teams and organizational policies and process, provide tools to support teams from burnout and cumulative stress and provide tools to promote meaningful reconciliation.
The Province is contemplating a direct award with the Supplier for the following reasons:
- Must be available for May 16th, 2023.
- Able to provide education and tools specifically focused on guiding employees through conflict, trauma, grief and disconnect, while providing a decolonized approach to organizational development through their indigenous lens.
- Understanding of local, regional, and provincial similarities and differences between the nations and their representative organizations.
- Experience working cultivating a safe work environment and organizational resiliency within the context of the provincial government.
