Description
The Digital Investment Office (DIO), which operates as part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), requires a vendor with experience of application lifecycle management, registries and policy development.
As dependence on digital services increases and technology evolves, the government’s operating model for Information Management and Information Technology (IMIT) is also changing. There is a need to improve the quality and accuracy of data about digital (software) applications in order to:
As dependence on digital services increases and technology evolves, the government’s operating model for Information Management and Information Technology (IMIT) is also changing. There is a need to improve the quality and accuracy of data about digital (software) applications in order to:
- Improve understanding of the scope and scale of digital applications across government
- Assess application health
- Quantify the risk of service interruptions due to the failure of systems.
- Ensure applications are maintained and continuously improved.
- Identify areas of duplicate functionality
- Inform investment decisions for improvement, replacement and build of new digital services.
The DIO is currently recruiting an internal team to deliver the application registry services. It is seeking the assistance of a vendor to undertake discovery and alpha phases for the project while the internal team is being recruited. The vendor is expected to transition the work to the internal team.
