Description
Through the delivery of services, the Early Learning Strategic Consultant will realize the following objectives:
- Strengthened capacity of the school system to provide access to early learning and child care programs,
- Engaged education and child care partners and Indigenous rightsholders involved in the transition of child care to education,
- Greater alignment between child care and the broader Early Learning to Grade 12 learning environment to improve continuity of learning for children,
- Community priorities and opportunities are accurately reflected in the new Regional Supports to support the transition and alignment of child care service delivery under the Ministry of Education and Child Care,
- Improved social/emotional and other developmental outcomes for young children; and,
- The Early Learning Framework, the First Peoples Principles of Learning, and the BC Curriculum and Core Competencies provide focus to the development or sustainment of any new or emerging early care and learning priority projects.
These services have been delivered by an incumbent contractor, Maureen Dockendorf, who has been delivering these services since January 2018.
The services will be delivered throughout British Columbia and can be performed from anywhere in the Province. The term is for 1 year, with 2 additional 1-year options to extend. Total contract value is up to a maximum of $450,000.
