Description
Project Description: Vernon Jubilee Hospital’s existing emergency backup power system is undersized and lacks sufficient redundancy. Phase 1 of the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade involves renovating exterior and interior spaces to modernize the emergency generator plant and electrical distribution. Key improvements include new electrical rooms in the North and South Towers and upgraded distribution panels to enhance power reliability and capacity across the hospital. Contractors must account for generator lead times to ensure timely substantial completion. The scope of work will also include the following below: (but not limited to)
• Procurement and Installation of 1500 kW diesel generator in enclosure
• Seismic Consulting Engineer for required seismic restraints
• Geo-technical contractor to identify soil and asphalt structure and thickness.
• Hazardous material abatement contractor.
• Removal, modifications and upgrades to underground plumbing and utility services.
• Removal of existing fuel tanks and Installation of new fuel tank.
• Decommissioning, upgrading and replacing electrical services.

Estimated Budget of construction: $6,100,000.00
