The BC Oil and Gas Commission (“the Commission") is a Crown corporation responsible for regulating the full life cycle of energy resource activities in British Columbia. From site planning to restoration, the Commission ensures that activities are undertaken in a manner that protects public safety, safeguards the environment, supports meaningful reconciliation, and advances the public interest and contributes to B.C.'s economy.

The scope of the Commission’s roles and responsibilities is continuously evolving, and it is imperative to maintain a current and compliant, yet practical safety program.  With this expanding slate of activities, the Commission must ensure that its existing policies, procedures, and processes meet all WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety (“OHS”) Regulation requirements, as well as align with industry best practices.

The Commission is seeking a qualified safety professional to complete a wholistic assessment of its Safety Program and compliance with WorkSafeBC’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and to provide recommendations on any areas where opportunities for improvement are identified.

Interested parties can download documents through the Commission's website above.  Proposals must be submitted electronically and received before 2:00 P.M. (Pacific Time) on September 30, 2022.

All enquiries related to this Request for Proposals, including any requests for information or clarification, may be directed, via email to procurement@bcogc.ca.
