Purchase of AHU for Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Project

Fraser Health Authority (FHA) intends to extend the contract with Haakon Industries for purchase of Air handling Unit (AHU) for the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Project.
The maximum value of this contract extension will be $1,072,500.00 - plus tax. FHA has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons:
- The Burnaby Redevelopment Phase 1 Construction Management (CM) project has to procure a new hospital grade dedicated Pharmacy AHU in order for the completed CM renovation to meet CSA standard.
- The Burnaby Redevelopment Phase 1 Design Build project is using Haakon manufactured AHUs within the new building and to serve the existing SFB building. As such, FHA desires like to keep consistency across all CM AHUs for improved familiarity, training, servicing & maintenance of the equipment for the Facility Maintenance & Operations team. FHA FMO have experience with Haakon AHU's across various FHA facilities.
- The Burnaby Redevelopment Phase 1 Construction Management project will be installing the new Pharmacy AHU in Late 2023 based on project schedule. Based on significant & on-going material lead time issues in the current climate, purchase of the unit will shall be made prior to the End of 2022.

Provide proof showing your experience related to the requirements defined in this Notice of Intent. Only challenges from qualified manufacturing firms will be reviewed.
