Description
The Urban Indigenous Youth and Education Project is an ambitious, Indigenous-led undertaking that has the potential to change the landscape for the urban Indigenous community in Vancouver. The Project is based on the co-location of Urban Native Youth Association and Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, two established, and complementary, Indigenous organizations to improve services to, and educational outcomes for, Indigenous youth and adults in an urban environment. NVIT and UNYA will partner with the City of Vancouver, through Non-Market Housing Development and Operations, to deliver the overall mixed-use development that also includes Indigenous-focused affordable housing and childcare. Infrastructure BC has been engaged to manage the Advisor Selection Process for this Project.
