Description
NOTICE TO VENDORS
This is NOT an invitation to bid.
You are invited to attend an optional Project Information Session regarding the Lambourn Water Reservoir Replacement Project on October 26, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. local time at the Lambourn Water System site located at 4500 Chestnut Road in Cowichan Bay, B.C.
This is an opportunity to visit the site and meet with CVRD representatives to discuss the upcoming project in 2023. This project will replace the existing reservoir tank for the Lambourn Water System located south-east of Cowichan Bay in Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) Electoral Area D. The water system services 160 single-family dwellings and a mobile home park. The water system receives its water from three groundwater wells. The water receives chlorine disinfection before being pumped to two reservoirs and fed to the distribution as required by customers. One of the existing reservoirs is nearing the end of it's life. The upcoming project includes decommissioning and removal of the existing tank.
The CVRD anticipates using a Design-Build approach when procuring in 2023 but can discuss options at the information session. The CVRD does not have existing as-built plans to share as the reservoir system was inherited with no accompanying reference materials. The CVRD expects that the new Reservoir will be built on the existing footprint.
The Information session will include a brief overview of anticipated project scope and a chance to discuss options ahead of the procurement process expected to commence in 2023.
To attend, please pre-register by email to purchasing@cvrd.bc.ca by noon on October 25th.
Following the site meeting there will be a two week opportunity for project feedback in the Bonfire portal.
