Description
The Royal BC Museum (RBCM) invites interested parties to submit Proposals for the provision of onsite Coffee Bar and Café Services within the Clifford Carl Hall of the Museum.
The RBCM is interested in partnering with a Proponent who has a vision for food service delivery that mirrors our own. This includes the creation and cultivation of a distinctive, BC themed, quick service beverage and food bar that will appeal to and provide a reasonable cost option to both our visitors and to the people of Victoria. Patrons will take advantage of an opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy the surroundings of the RBCM, located on Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour. Coffee Bar and Café services will include attractive quick service selections which will appeal to clients of different tastes.
The Contractor will provide and operate a mobile beverage and food counter system to be operated seven days per week with core opening hours of 9am to 3pm daily. The counter will be designed and constructed in such a way so as to appear as a permanent fixture but be able to be moved and relocated upon RBCM’s request (with appropriate notice), to support lobby events. The Contractor will be responsible for all expenses related to the design, construction, and operation of the mobile counter system, including supplies and staffing.
The RBCM intends to enter into one (1) Contract with the highest scoring Proponent who meets all mandatory criteria. The anticipated term of the Contract is one (1) year with the option to extend in the sole discretion of the RBCM for five (5) additional terms of up to one (1) year each for a maximum Contract term of six (6) years.
The Contract start date is anticipated to be January 1, 2023.
Interested parties should be aware that the future of the RBCM is uncertain and the Contract terms reflect this.
