Description
The proposed contract requires ground surveys to identify Mountain Pine Beetle and/or Douglas-fir Beetle infested stems and treatment crews to carry out subsequent single tree disposal treatments in various locations throughout the Cranbrook TSA.
The ground survey method for this project will be a thorough walkthrough, with a target of 85% coverage. Other survey methods that could be utilized include star-probe surveys and grid-probe surveys. The single tree treatments for this project are:
-Fall and burn (Mountain Pine & Douglas-fir Beetle infested trees), consisting of falling, bucking and burning all stems identified for treatment.
-Trap tree falling (Douglas-fir Beetle only), consisting of identifying and falling appropriate trap trees.
-Refer to the Schedule C Appendixes for survey and treatment specifications.
This quote calls for all-found rates, including the supply of all labour, transportation, accommodation, meals, tools, equipment, fuel and rentals required to complete the required services as per the conditions set out in Schedule A and C of this agreement. The Ministry will supply the paint and ribbon required for this contract.
Survey areas may be added or removed pending budget allocation.
