    Description
The Ministry is responsible for the maintenance of transportation networks and associated infrastructure in order to provide British Columbia with a safe and reliable highway system. Private contractors deliver year-round maintenance services to the Ministry’s 28 highway maintenance service areas, 5 electrical maintenance service areas and 5 pavement marking service areas.

Contracts offered resulting from this RFP are anticipated to be for a three-year initial term with a two-year optional extension.

The Contractor(s) retained as part of this RFP may participate in a range of maintenance contract support services, including support with the ongoing operation/administration of the Ministry’s maintenance contracts, research initiatives, training, and assistance with ongoing maintenance/transportation-related procurements and other support services.
