Overview of the Work/Service Required
Using heavy duty Excavators to deactivate the Akokli Forest Service Road from 7.048-14.763 Km as prescribed by Vast Resources and SNT Engineering. Deactivation includes replacing the wooden curbs on bridge N7-001, removal of structures N7-002 (2 X 1600 mm CMP with 2 trash racks), N7-003 (9.6 M concrete bridge) and N7-004 (10.6 M concrete bridge) and re-building a slide section at deactivation stationing 6+103-6+258. Removed structures to be hauled off site to Akokli FSR at 5.0 Rd Km’s as part of this contract. All treated wooden components to be hauled off site to an approved recycling facility. All metal and plastic culverts removed to be hauled off site by this contract.
Mandatory site visit is planned for July 26, 2023, Meeting at the Destiny Bay Store at 9:30 AM. ATV’s or Side-by-Sides are required to get into the deactivation site. If you are not able to make this date and time, please contact Tina Zimmermann (250 354-8798) to try to reschedule a different date/time with other interested bidders. Only one site visit with all interested parties will be conducted.
