Sun-Oka Provincial Park Water & Pathway Improvements.
Sun-Oka Provincial Park is located just south of Summerland, Sun-Oka Beach Park has one of the most superb beaches in the entire Okanagan. The name is shortened version of “Sunny Okanagan.”The park provides outstanding beach, waterplay, and picnic opportunities as well as fantastic views down Okanagan Lake.
This tender includes improvements to the existing water system and pedestrian pathways in Sunoka
Park.
Submissions will be received until 1:00 PM local time, July 29, 2024, electronically to the Ministry of
Environment and Climate Change Strategy, BC Parks Kootenay/Okanagan Region.
Tenders to be submitted electronically to oktenderrevisions@gov.bc.ca
In general, the work consists of the following:
Water Improvements
o Remove and dispose of 5 existing taps.
o Scope and pressure test watermain sections between taps.
o Dig up, inspect, and potentially replace 38mm / 19mm tee in front of washroom
building.
o Install 5 new taps.
o Replace catch basins and drywells as required / instructed.
o Pressure test, disinfect, bacteria test entire system.
Pathway Improvements
o New asphalt pathways.
o Crusher chip placement and levelling.
o Parking paint lines.
o Asphalt pathway removal and replacement.
o Asphalt pathway removal and soil rehabilitation.
o Asphalt pathway removal and sod replacement.\
Tenders must be accompanied with a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total Tendered Price.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
A site meeting will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday July 18, 2024 on-site in Sun-Oka Park at the
information shelter. Attendance of this meeting for its entirety is Mandatory for all bidders. Tender documents will be distributed at the site meeting.
