ENV25-BCP-OKAN-004: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - BC PARKS - MONASHEE PROVINCIAL PARK – BACKCOUNTRY UPGRADES: LITTLE PETERS CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT / BIG PETERS CAMPGROUND FACILITY UPGRADES.
This request is specific to work within BC Parks, Okanagan Region. The Province is looking for proponents, who will supply services as further defined in this RFP. The works defined in this opportunity are expected to begin October 2024 with a targeted completion of October 2025.
The Province intends to award a singular Contract to a Proponent through this RFP. All Proposals that have met all mandatory requirements and minimum scores will be ranked. At the Province’s sole discretion, we will award the contract to the highest scoring and therefore highest ranked Proposal.

Monashee Provincial Park:
Monashee Park protects substantial stands of old growth cedar, spruce and hemlock. Lush green forests grace the valley and in the spring, alpine meadows blossom with a colourful wildflowers. The park is also known for some of the oldest rock formations in western Canada.
Peters and Margie Lakes sparkle beneath 2,697 metre high Mount Fosthall, the highest peak in the park. It is part of the rugged Monashee Range of snow capped peaks that surround the park. Lucky visitors may get a glimpse of the rare mountain caribou or wolverine or the much more common mule deer, ground squirrels and pikas. This undeveloped mountain wilderness is a wonderful adventure for both experienced backcountry hikers and willing beginners alike.
