Description
The Emergency Management Advisor is responsible for coordinating the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of programs for the Langley Emergency Program. This includes working with staff and volunteers to coordinate the implementation of the Program which will enable the Township and the City to respond quickly and effectively in providing essential services and communications support to evacuees and responders affected by an emergency or a disaster. This position is also responsible for recruiting new volunteers for participation in the Emergency Social Services (ESS) and Emergency Communications Support (ECS) programs as well provide ongoing support, coordination, training, mentoring, evaluation, motivation, recognition, and retention for the current and future Langley Emergency Program volunteers.
