Description
The Corporation of the Township of Langley (the “Township”) is seeking responses to a Request for Expression of Interest (“EOI”) from artists connected to one or more of the land-based First Nations on whose traditional lands the Township was established. This includes q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓әn̓ (Kwantlen), q̓ic̓әy̓ (Katzie), Máthkwi (Matsqui), and Se'mya'me’ (Semiahmoo) First Nation community members willing to supply Indigenous art designs/features for installation or imprint at the planned Willoughby Community Park Plaza, which is expected to open to the public in the spring of 2023.
All interested artists from the q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓әn̓, q̓ic̓әy̓, Máthkwi and Se'mya'me’ First Nation communities are invited to lead and submit a Response. If the Response is being submitted by a lead Respondent from one of the named First Nations, but is supported by other artists or contributors, the Response should name each, their First Nation community, and their specific contribution(s) to the EOI.
