Description
Forestry Innovation Investment Ltd. (FII) is the Government of British Columbia's market development agency for forest products. Through partnerships with industry, Indigenous organizations, research institutions, governments and other stakeholders, FII works to develop and diversify demand for British Columbia forest products, promote B.C.'s forest products and sustainable forest management practices internationally, and support innovation and competitiveness across the forest sector. FII delivers its mandate through market development, market outreach, wood innovation and strategic partnership initiatives in British Columbia, Canada, and priority international markets.

A priority in FII’s 2025 Mandate Letter was the undertaking a comprehensive review (the review) of programs provided by, and complementary to, FII, with particular emphasis on ensuring public investments are directed toward market diversification, emerging market development, innovation, economic growth, and strengthening opportunities for British Columbia wood products.
