Description
The objective of this project is to implement an approved fuel management prescription, which describes the recommended fuel management activities and the post-treatment stand conditions. The identified Treatment Unit (TU3) is located South of Paul Lake. The total area to be treated is approximately 13.1 hectares.
More detail can be found in the attached fuel management prescription included with the RFP package, but the Services under this contract may include, but are not limited to:
• Spacing, thinning, felling, bucking, pruning, raking, piling, and burning;
• Danger tree assessment and removing danger trees, or layout of no-work zone(s);
• Fixing/reinstalling any existing infrastructure, if damaged by the contractor;
• Maintaining continuous communication with the Ministry Representative pertaining to all operational activities via phone or email; and
• Submit appropriate Notice of Project to WorkSafeBC. A copy must be provided to the Ministry Representative.
• Obtaining a burn registration number.
Subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and availability of funding by the Province, the Parties may agree in writing to extend this Agreement for a further Term of Twelve months to a maximum of two terms. Should the option to renew be exercised it is expected that the Contractor’s bid rate or bid price in the preceding term will remain unchanged in the subsequent term, unless, in the ministry’s sole opinion, a negotiated rate change is warranted.
