Description
The Ministry of Land, Water and Resource Stewardship in Smithers seeks bids from qualified contractors to conduct services related to Western Screech-owl (WSOW), kennicottii subspecies inventory in the Skeena region. Historic surveys for this species have been limited to southern portions of the province with limited information further north. This contract has been developed to address the information gaps in the northern portions of WSOW range and support
The successful proponent will develop a study design and collect acoustic recordings using ARUs in previously non-surveyed areas during the early nesting season (March) 2023.
