Description
The objective of this project is to scope out six (6) potential cultural and prescribed fire and fuel treatment areas; three (3) potential treatments must be located within Squamish Nation Territory and three (3) within N’Quatqua territory. The secondary objective is to develop a fuel management prescription for two of the highest priority treatments: one (1) prescription must be located within Squamish Nation Territory and one (1) within N’Quatqua territory, which will then be implemented through a separate phase of operational treatments that are not included in this contract, thereby enhancing the relationship with local First Nations and also reducing the risk and impact of wildfires on provincial crown land around communities. All deliverables must be complete by March 15, 2024.
