    Description
    Land and water related restoration activities are increasing in the Omineca Region due to biological and climatic issues and changing social values. Restoration activities could be considered a reactive measure to address root causes of degraded values. The restoration community at all levels including practitioners, government, NGO’s (non-government organizations), First Nations and Industrial partners, is collaboratively learning what and how to deliver activities. Some of these activities are considered components of the land management, continuous improvement process and help negate the need for restoration through impact reduction during extraction activities. This contract is being let for proposals that will assist the Omineca Region NRS government staff incorporate and support the restoration field of practice and consider incorporation of its learnings into the land management paradigm. The contractor will be required to develop a governmental vision and roadmap for restoration in the Omineca Region. This will provide clarity to government staff about restoration, what it is, and how it can be incorporated into their work.
