City of Prince George (the “City”) is requesting those interested in an opportunity (Respondent) to obtain naming rights to the Prince George downtown coliseum, located at 888 Dominion Street to come forward with an expression of interest.
The Prince George Coliseum is an 1800 seat ice arena and home to the Junior A Prince George Spruce Kings. Over 60 years old, this building has a lot of history in our city. This building is fully booked during ice season, which is typically approximately 10 months per year. Minor hockey, men’s hockey, figure skating, ringette, public skating, school groups and many others use the ice, which is fully booked 7 days a week. Along with a huge number of community users, the Spruce Kings play their home games in this building. The name of the building is used on all Spruce Kings promotional material, websites, ticketing providers, ticket stubs, etc. The successful Respondent will be fully involved in designing the exterior building signage, as well as interior signage in the front lobby. As part of the heart of downtown and adjacent to the brand new Canfor Leisure Pool, there is continual traffic that will ensure most people in Prince George will see this building/signage many times over.
All of this activity will bring even more prominence and exposure to the brand of the successful Respondent.
This Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) is intended to identify Respondents with a serious interest and basic expertise in relation to this opportunity. All Respondents who submit a submission in response to this RFEOI will be invited to participate in any subsequent RFP (or ITT) process, if the City proceeds with an RFP (or ITT) in relation to this opportunity. Conversely, the City anticipates that only Respondents who have submitted a submission in response to this RFEOI will be invited to participate in any RFP (or ITT) process, again, if the City proceeds with that process.
