Closing date and time 2023/03/15 17:00 EDT

    Description
Notice is hereby given that City of Prince George (the “City”) intends to direct award a contract to Smith Cameron Pump Solutions Inc. dba SCG Process (the Supplier) for supply and deliver of two (2) pumps (PW660).
The value of the contract is expected not to exceed $1,100,000.00. The City requires delivery within 36 weeks of order acknowledgement.
The City intends to purchase two (2) 3 stage vertical turbine pumps, two (2) 500hp 600V motors and two (2) VFD drives matched to the 500hp motors. The pumps and motors are proposed to be installed in an existing water supply pump station (PW660). The electrical components in the existing pump station restrict the available horsepower to less than 500hp.
The existing pumps in PW660 are Flowserve 18ENH vertical turbine pumps which are estimated to operate at 150L/s at 117 TDH.
The City intends to increase the capacity of PW660 by installing new pumps. The new pumps are required to operate at 270L/s at 117m TDH without exceeding 500hp.
During the design/specification process, the City has reviewed performance characteristics from pump suppliers in Western Canada. (ie: Suppliers that are able to provide operation and maintenance support, warranty etc.) The City is not aware of any other suppliers in Western Canada that can meet the performance criteria for this project. As a result, the City intends to direct award a contract to Smith Cameron Pump Solutions Inc. dba SCG Process for supply and deliver of two (2) Flowserve 20EKL pumps, motors and VFD drives.
