    Description
    This ITT is an invitational solicitation run via one of BC Housing’s region-specific prequalified rosters for Prime Contractors. This second stage ITT has been posted publicly to enable Subcontractors and/or Trades who are interested in participating in the project to connect with the invited prequalified Bidders listed below.

    Only the invited, prequalified Bidders listed below may participate in the bidding process and attend the mandatory site visit.

    MANDATORY ON-SITE INFORMATION MEETING
    Bidders must attend a site visit on the specified date and time below:

    Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above.

    A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

    All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the ITT Contact person prior to the date and time as per section 3.2 Timetable.

    Representatives of your firm attending a site visit must provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

    Brief Description of Work

    The work includes Electrical and Elevator Modernization and as further set out at Appendices:
    Appendix D – Post-Warranty Elevator Maintenance Contract
    Appendix E – Specifications and Drawings

    The project aims to modernize the existing elevator system and integrate, or provide provisions for integration, with the upcoming building renovation project. This includes, but is not limited to, integration with electrical, mechanical, fire safety, structure, and building access. Work is anticipated to be completed by November 2024.

    It is intended that the project will be awarded to a General Contractor or Electrical Contractor.
    Coordinate all Work with the work of others, including elevator, electrical system, fire safety system, mechanical system, structural system, building envelope system, and building security access.
    Provide safe and secure access to building, suites, elevator hoistway, machine room, and areas as necessary to allow completion of the work.
    Separate price included for Elevator Preventative Maintenance Contract to cover the complete post-warranty maintenance scope of service of the elevator for a contract period of five (5) years.  The Owner at its own discretion may enter into a separate contract for this scope of work with the successful proponent. 
    Time is of the essence and separate prices are requested to expedite the elevator modernization and overall project schedule.
