    Description
    This ITT is an invitational solicitation run via one of BC Housing’s region-specific prequalified rosters for Prime Contractors. This second stage ITT has been posted publicly to enable Subcontractors and/or Trades who are interested in participating in the project to connect with the invited prequalified Bidders listed below.

    Only the invited, prequalified Bidders listed below may participate in the bidding process and attend the mandatory site visit.

    Subcontractor Attendance is Optional.

    Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above.

    A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.

    All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the ITT Contact person prior to the date and time as per section 3.2 Timetable.

    Representatives of your firm attending a site visit must provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

    Brief Description of Work

    BC Housing is seeking a general contractor to conduct renovations for a single family group home at 1909 Charles Street, Vancouver, BC. The property is vacant for renovation. The contractor will be responsible for completing work on architectural items, and mechanical and electrical systems, finishing work and other repairs, including but not limited to:
     
    1. Architectural:
    1. Completing the architectural work including wall assemblies, door hardware and accessories, interior glazing, cabinetry and millwork, stairs guardrails and handrails, and flooring and finishes. 
    2. Re-sloping the exterior concrete slab.
    3. Supplying and installing all appliances.
     
  • Electrical:
  • Completing the electrical work, including the power and auxiliaries’ systems, lighting and life safety plans. 
  • Mechanical:
  • Carry out all mechanical and plumbing work, including upgrades to and reconfiguration of the existing hot water heating system; installation of a new cooling system and heat recovery ventilator (HRV); and completion of the sanitary sewage system.
