Description
UHNBC LND Laundry Services processes an estimated 7000lbs of linen daily for UHNBC. There are regular service interruptions with most of the equipment having one or more maintenance issues regularly. Parts have become obsolete due to the age of the equipment and repairs are taking longer and longer to complete. The laundry department at UHNBC is over capacity with low ceiling height that won't allow for more modern equipment. A shut down of even one day results in laundry being stacked floor to ceiling with little room to move in the department. The UHNBC Laundry equipment, apart from the large washers that were replaced in 2021 is beyond end of life. The dryers are 22 years old and there is significant risk of unrepairable equipment failure which will result in UHNBC Laundry not being able to complete the laundry service for UHNBC.
