Description
The high-level details of the contemplated contract are generally described below.
The Supplier will:
- Provide strategic advice, recommendations and direction for the creation, coordination and execution of a provincial safety and security plan related to FIFA.
- Coordinate and provide ongoing briefings of senior government, and law enforcement officials.
- Provide advice, consultation and direction on key stakeholders and subject matter experts, including specific engagement with Federal and Provincial Government stakeholders who support and fund current and future strategies for policing services in BC, as required.
The aggregate value of the contract is expected not to exceed, exclusive of applicable taxes, $100,000 (inclusive of travel).
The Province is contemplating a direct award with the Supplier for the following reasons:
The Supplier possesses the requisite security clearances and is a subject matter expert with direct knowledge and experience in public safety, security, leadership, and interagency relations. Additionally, the Supplier’s background also includes experience with major event command structure and Emergency Management and Government Relations including having been involved with both the 2010 Winter Olympics and Vancouver Canucks Stanley Cup Playoffs 2011.
The Ministry believes but cannot strictly prove that this is the only vendor capable of providing the service required as specified in the high-level details of the contemplated contract above.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 11 month(s).
