Our client(s), The At Home Program assists Parents and Caregivers of medically fragile children 0-18yrs with some of the extraordinary costs of caring for a child with severe disabilities, living at home, through a range of health supports and services. All children on this program meet at least 3 out of 4 dependencies for daily life (eating, washing, toileting, dressing.) All products for children on this program are highly customized to the individual. The At Home program does not support "standardization" of products for their clients and as a result face many budgetary constraints. Pricing for nutritional supplements as well as incontinence products is constantly under review. Total active clients on this program serviced in fiscal 2022 was 2,300.
The Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction program provides grants and support for health supplements, medical supplies, medical equipment and devices for medically fragile citizens of BC who are receiving income support through the Ministry. The program also supports most At Home Clients serviced by Ministry of Children and Families who age out of the At Home Program and meet the HAB eligibility criteria. This program does not currently support standardization of products but will consider consolidating high usage products such as gloves or wipes etc. to two or three main brands. Health Assistance Branch, Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR). Total active clients on this program serviced in fiscal 2022 was 7,691.
Notice is hereby given that the Province of British Columbia, as represented by the Ministry of Citizens’ Services, Product Distribution Centre is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Cardinal Health Canada (the “Supplier”).
