Closing date and time 2026/07/06 15:00 EDT
Description
The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) hereby gives notice that it intends to direct award a contract to Action First Aid Inc of 5 92 Commerce Park Dr, Barrie, ON, L4N 8W8 to provide additional AED and CPR kits.
The contract term will be in effect until July 2026. The contract is for the purchase of 22 AED bundles, one trainer set, one set of training pads, and 47 long-life batteries.
ICBC intends to engage Action First Aid Inc. to ensure consistency with the AED/CPR kits and related equipment previously acquired and currently in use across its operations.
This engagement is intended to support ICBC’s operational requirements, including compatibility with existing AED models, standardization of accessories, pads, batteries, and replacement parts, and consistency in kit contents and operating procedures. This will also help maintain staff familiarity with the equipment, support continuity of service and maintenance, and reduce operational risk and duplication of costs associated with introducing alternate products for critical workplace emergency response.
ICBC intends to post a public solicitation for the procurement of additional AED and CPR kits by June 19, 2026.
Vendors wishing to object to this decision should send an email to sourcing@icbc.com by July 6, 2026, 12:00 pm PST with specific reasons for their objection and citing “NOI Procurement of Additional AED/CPR Kits” in the email message subject line. Vendor solution qualifications, compliance with B.C. laws and the ability to provide the same level of features at a lower cost will be the key criteria with respect to the consideration of vendor’s objections.
