Description
The Province is contemplating a direct award with R. L. Mattiussi Advisory Services Inc. in regards to the Village of Lytton "Village" recovery from the June 2021 fire which destroyed much of the Village, for the following reasons:
- The Supplier is a strategic advisor with a deep understanding of local governance, disaster recovery and the specific journey of Lytton to date and therefore is uniquely positioned in support of the recovery goals of the Village;
- The Supplier has deep knowledge, experience, strong connections and local relationships with the Village and the Province’s Recovery Team;
- The Supplier has intimate knowledge with the recovery effort, challenges, and governance structure of the Village and has been supporting the Village and the Province in operational and strategic roles;
- The Supplier has the unique combination of extensive experience with local government and emergency response and disaster recovery;
- The Supplier has the required municipal public sector experience and deep understanding of:
- provincial disaster recovery, the BC Government ministries and agencies involved and how community recovery differs profoundly from planned infrastructure projects;
- federal and provincial emergency management policies, principles and funding schemes at the Indigenous and local government level; and,
- local government legislation and can navigate bylaws, plans and best practices in procurement, accounting and governance.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 4 month(s).
