NOTICE OF VIRTUAL INFORMATION MEETING FOR

This Notice is issued in advance to request Proponents to register for the virtual information meeting that will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Proponents who are interested in attending the information meeting must submit their request for the Teams Meeting invite no later than, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 @ 2:00 p.m. PT. to Jocelan Blackwell at Jblackwell@bchousing.org
Requests received after this deadline will not receive the meeting invitation. Subcontractor attendance is highly recommended for the information meeting.
The RFP documents will be available by the end of day on BC Bid on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
VIRTUAL INFORMATION MEETING
BC Housing intends to hold an information meeting for Proponents at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, via Microsoft Teams. The purpose of this meeting will be to provide Proponents with an overview of the RFP process and the Deliverables and to provide an informal opportunity for Proponents to ask questions. Proponents are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting but are under no obligation to do so. If a Proponent does not attend, the Proponent will be deemed to have received any information provided to the other Proponents at the information meeting.
BC Housing will permit oral questions during the meeting; however, complex questions should be submitted in writing to BC Housing pursuant to Section 2.5 of the RFP. Proponents may not rely on any oral response provided by BC Housing during the meeting. If a Proponent wishes to rely on anything said or indicated, the Proponent should submit an Enquiry and request an Addendum. Verbal enquiries and responses may be recorded and distributed to all Proponents at the discretion of BC Housing.
Brief Description of Work
The following are some of the key elements of the Deliverables:
Fire alarm system replacement
Fire suppression sprinkler system retrofit
Domestic water distribution system replacement
Electric baseboard heater replacement
Common area lighting replacement
Suite bathroom ventilation upgrades
Targeted building envelope repairs
Targeted membrane roof replacement
Targeted exterior stair repair and repainting
Targeted gutter and downspout replacement complete with new drains at suspended slab
Parkade garage door opener and fob system replacement, and
Parkade water meter room, sump pump, and ventilation upgrades.
