Description
To eliminate the risk of bidder disqualification based on failure to re-submit in response to an Amendment, as required by the new BC Bid rules, BC Hydro has changed its practice as of November 24, 2022, such that all changes to BC Hydro (including Q&As and Addenda) are now treated as “Addenda” (and not “Amendments”) within the BC Bid rules and, as such, no longer require re-submission by the bidder of any already made submission. Please see Addenda instructions for further information.
The above practice change means that changes (including Q&As and Addendas) to BC Hydro opportunities will no longer be posted in the RFx Documents section of this Overview tab.

Supplier Registration
Interested suppliers should note that BC Bid has upgraded its platform and that registration (or re-registration) in the new platform is necessary in order to respond to any opportunity after May 30, 2022. Through the anticipated upcoming Remote Sensing Services RFP, BC Hydro will seek to engage the market to better understand service offerings and ultimately establish a long-term relationship with one or more suppliers who are focused on achieving a high level of operational excellence in the delivery of Remote Sensing Services for vegetation management at BC Hydro. Our supplier(s) will have the experience, expertise, and capability to deliver consistently safe, quality services while supporting continuous improvement opportunities to manage effort and costs. The successful supplier(s) will play an important and strategic role in assisting BC Hydro to achieve its strategic objectives for Vegetation Management.
This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
