Description
RFP Objective:
This RFP is being issued to identify one or multiple Proponents to enter into non-exclusive Contract(s) between a Proponent and the Health Authorities, through Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”) acting on its own behalf and as agent for other Health Authorities, for the supply of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Consumables described in Appendix J (Pricing) and/or Services described herein to the Health Authorities at their facilities listed in Appendix B (List of Participating Health Authority Facilities).
Any Contract resulting from this RFP may be executed by PHSA on its own behalf and in its capacity as an agent for other Health Authorities.
Scope:
PHSA invites Proposals from qualified parties for the supply of the Products to the Health Authorities in accordance with the specifications and requirements set out in this RFP.
The Products Categories are identified in Appendix J (Pricing). These include the following list of Product categories and sub-categories:
Proponents should provide fixed pricing for a Contract term of three (3) years plus two (2) x one (1) year extensions as permitted under the Contract. Proponents should identify the components of the Products included in the base price, all consumable products, and substitute consumable products including any conditions relevant to the supply of such products.
For the Product, subcategories of Drug Eluting Stents and Balloon Catheters proponents should provide pricing for a potential market share award of the total provincial consumption for these subcategories of either sixty (60) percent or thirty (30) percent. Ten (10) percent of market share will be left un-awarded to allow access to other Products that become available during the term of the Contract.
The historical consumption for 2021 was 15,223 stents used in 8,297 cases. Future consumption is estimated based on historical consumption but it depends on funding and resource availability. At this time, we are not expecting significant changes in case volume.
