Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”) acting on its own behalf, and as agent for Fraser Health Authority, Interior Health Authority, Vancouver Island Health Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (the “Health Authorities”), intends to directly award Contracts to the following suppliers to provide Perfusion Consumables for Abbottsford Regional Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, Surrey Memorial Hospital, Kelowna General Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver General Hospital, Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, and BC Children’s Hospital for a term of one (1) year at an estimated value of $1.5M.

PHSA, on its own behalf and as agent for the Health Authorities has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reasons:
- contracts with these suppliers that resulted from a previous provincial initiative expired or are expiring before a new provincial initiative scheduled for FY 23/24 can be taken to market
- to ensure the Health Authorities have uninterrupted access at stable prices to these essential products, including custom packs, until the new competitive process is taken to market in FY 23/24 for implementation in September 2024
- CFTA article 513.b(v): to ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative
